This random generator was created to use with games between decks drafted from this cube. It generates a random card from a list of 183 different "sweeper" type cards to be used in the course of the game. The cube itself was built with this in mind.

How to play with the Cube

At the begining of each player's upkeep a random card is drawn from the Obliterate! pile - or, in the case of this webpage, click the Obliterate! button to generate a random card. Then one of four things can happen:

1) Do it!

The card is played. While the active player may still pay for any extra costs (such as kicker or entwine), if the spell happens to have an X in its mana cost, X=0. The active player also makes any choice the spell requires.

2) Save it.

Until the end of your turn you may play the card as if it were in your hand except any colored mana in its cost (but not additional costs) is treated as generic mana instead.

So, for example, if I want to play Volcanic Eruption for X=4, I have to spend 7 of any type of mana.

3) Suspend X.

The spell is suspended with the appropriate number of time counters. When the last time counter is removed play it using the same rules described in 1). However, while the spell is suspended, no extra cards are drawn from the Obliterate Pile.

4) Nothing happens.

Better (or worse) luck next time!

If you want to emulate these random outcomes without the website, feel free to use the following table:

1 - 9Nothing happens.
10Suspend 2
11Suspend 3
12Suspend 4
13Suspend X
14 - 17Do it!
18 - 20Save it.
